Dear Math student:
The following are my expectations for you this year:
1. Come to class each day prepared with questions, homework, book, binder, pencil, calculator, ruler, and graph paper.
2. All work is to be done in pencil and must be done neatly and legibly.
3. There will be a daily homework assignment. Assignment s will be corrected the following day and marked as follows:
i. √+ for homework handed in on time with all problems attempted. (2pts)
ii. √ for homework handed in on time with most of the problems attempted. (1 pt)
iii. √- for homework handed in on time with few problems attempted (0.5 pt)
iv. “0” for homework not handed in on time. (0 pt.)
4. All homework is due at the beginning of each class period unless you have been absent. (You have a day for every day that you are absent to make up the work.)
5. I will accept two late homework assignments per quarter, but they must be turned in before the end of the week in which they were assigned.
6. Weekly quizzes will be worth between 15-25 points.
7. Chapter assessments will be worth 100 points.
8. Put forth your best effort, participate in class, ask questions, and ask for help if you need it.
9. Extra help will be available before and after school and during advisory time. (JUST ASK!)
10. Respect the rights of others to learn and treat everyone in ways that will help them to be successful.
I have read the above course expectations and understand these procedures.
